Our Story
Before the association
Our story began in 2017 with the 10'larla Onlar İçin project founded by Yiğit Taşyumruk during his high-school years. What began as support for village schools grew into a model of solidarity and mutual learning.
A project became an institution
As volunteers, activities and ideas increased, a formal structure became essential. Cana Yakın Association was established to place this growing effort on sustainable foundations.
The scale changed
The association expanded beyond village schools to education, environment, local development and social solidarity, becoming an independent multidisciplinary civil society organization.
An approach that has never changed
Solidarity is not a one-way relationship. We build models in which everyone gains experience, grows together and shares responsibility.
More than a founding date
The year 2021 marks the moment years of field experience gained an institutional identity and began a new journey toward broader social impact.
